Membership Criteria

Only those builders and specialists who can prove their skills and good business standing are accepted as members. Membership criteria and checks include:  

 

NRWB & FMB Members FMB Members Affiliate FMB Members*
Can offer MasterBond insurance
Have signed the TrustMark license
Have an inspection on a job that is in progress
Verified no un-discharged bankruptcies or relevant and outstanding County Court Judgments
Have a minimum three year trading history and provide three years accounts
Have passed credit checks, public record and director checks
Have a minimum of twelve months trading
Six references including one from a 'professional' or the LABC
Public and employer liability insurance (if applicable)
VAT registration (if applicable)
Confirmation of business address/details
Covered by Dispute Resolution and Complaints Procedure
Have signed the FMB Code of Practice

 

* An FMB Affiliate company is one that has been trading for fewer than twelve months but has public liability insurance and/or employee liability insurance if applicable. Read more about Affiliate members.
