Regional Winners Announced
National Winners and Master Builder of the Year 2006 to be announced 9th November
The Master Builder of the Year Awards 2006 are the
culmination of a nine month search to find the best builders in the
United Kingdom.
The Awards highlight the achievements of the many
thousands of small and medium-sized building firms, which form the
backbone of the UK construction industry. And whose work for
homeowners, commercial organisations and public bodies, though greatly
appreciated by their clients, often goes unsung by the media.
The Master Builder of the Year
Awards provides an annual opportunity to redress that balance, and to
give the clients their say. Building firms can only be entered for this
competition by their customers. And they are only going to nominate the
best.
Many of those nominating are householders who have
engaged a builder to renovate or extend their home, and have lived
through the inevitable disruption of the building process, often for
months at a time. This year’s Awards recognise the scale and diversity
of such renovation projects, with three categories now dedicated to
residential restoration, refurbishment and extension work. Together,
these three categories span small works (under £100,000 contract
value), medium projects (£100,000 to £300,000) and the very
largest transformations (over £300,000).
The Awards are organised across eleven regions covering
the length and breadth of the UK. Winning a regional award is a
significant achievement in itself, and we congratulate all those who
fought off tough competition to triumph in their region.
The FMB congratulates all the winners for a job well
done, and offers thanks to Nissan, the principal partner of Master
Builder of the Year 2006 and to all our category partners, without
whose generous support these Awards would not be possible.
