19/01/2010 1 Locksley Business Pk CIOB intend to run a Site Management Certificate each Tuesday (1.00 – 9.30) starting on 19Th January until June. To achieve the CIOB Level 4 Certificate in Site Management candidates are required to successfully complete 7 modules, with a further 7 in the second year for the award of the Diploma, which in turn leads to Associate Membership of the CIOB. WYG will be offering 6 modules for candidates who already have completed the 4 day Site Safety Supervisors course, which provides exemption from the health, safety & welfare module. The 6 modules being offered in Year 1 are computing, site surveying & levelling, managing people, industry & management, organising & monitoring resources and project planning. The H&S module can be taken as a stand-alone SSS course with WYG if it hasn’t yet been completed. The cost of this 6 module Certificate programme is £1650 plus VAT less the CITB grant of £1250 for in-scope employers. To qualify for the course candidates ideally should have at least two years experience on site above the level of trade charge hand, with some general responsibility. This particular programme would be ideally suited to members who are small firms owned by individuals who have not had formal training in management.
