Users of the service looking for a reputable builder can search the FMB member database by entering their full postcode. The type of tradesman sought is selected from the drop-down trades menu. Through the Advanced Search option, users can also decide to search by FMB Members or only members offering MasterBond, or MasterBond with the TrustMark license.

A list of up to 15 FMB members matching the search criteria within 30 miles (or 45 miles for MasterBond only searches) are displayed, with their company name, location, phone and trade details. Where a member has an enhanced record, a link to this will be shown.

You can either contact the member on the number provided (5 pence per minute from a BT landline) or request their full details on a Member List. To do this, add members to the list by clicking the 'Add' tick boxes, then clicking 'Submit' at the end of the list.

Once the users contact details have been entered, a Member List is generated and distributed. The first member list requested will be sent immediately*. Please note that we may refuse to send a Member List where the required fields have not been correctly completed.

Quality builders and tradesmen/tradeswomen are always in demand. Details of your enquiry and a contact number may therefore be passed on to some of our members on your list, alerting them to your requirements. This is to help you quickly ascertain their availability to quote for and undertake your project. Your details will not be passed on to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
