Beware of HMRC related scam emails

Article

It has been brought to our attention that a number of fraudulent emails are being sent out to small businesses.

These emails claim to be from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and are offering the recipient a tax refund.

HMRC would not inform customers of a tax rebate via email, or invite them to complete an online form to receive a rebate of tax.

Please do not visit the website contained within the email or disclose any personal or payment information.

Please email phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk to report the email.
