The new Approved Documents L, F and J which detail changes to the Building Regulations due to come into force on 1st October 2010 are now available to download from the PlanningPortal website at

http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/buildingregulations/approveddocuments/

There are also new compliance guides to support the Part L and Part F Documents, which are also available on the PlanningPortal website.

Providing that you have a valid Initial Notice or application with your building control provider on 1st October 2010 and the work is commenced on site by 30 September 2011, you will be able to build to the previous regulations.
