BATJIC Agrees 2% Pay Increase
The Building and Allied Trades Joint Industrial Council (BATJIC) has agreed that there will be a 2% increase in pay following the successful conclusion of pay negotiations.
The rise will be across the board except for the hourly rate for the Adult General Operative which is to increase by 3% from £7.96 to £8.20 per hour. There will also be improvements in the death benefit scheme, which is to be increased to £25,000, and statutory sick pay will rise to £119 per week.
The changes will come into effect as of 17th June 2013. Updated information sheets on the new BATJIC agreement will be published shortly.
