Ian Pearson has replaced Baroness Vadera as Construction Minister. He will be the eighth minister in seven years, following the promotion of Baroness Vadera to the Cabinet Office.

It provokes further concerns that construction is not treated seriously in government circles. Farming, which makes up about two percent of GDP, has its own ministry after the latest reshuffle. Construction, which at present does not have a dedicated minister, makes up 10 percent of GDP.
