I expect you are all experts when it comes to selecting the right tool for the job. This crossed my mind as I was sitting in a photo booth the other day with a pair of kitchen scissors in my bag. I had to get a set of passport photos taken and had just reached that stage (which seems to happen overnight in my experience) when suddenly your fringe is so long that it makes it difficult to see much. So I was sitting in the booth – with a queue outside of course - trying to hack at my hair with the kitchen scissors, last used to cut the rind off bacon. If only I’d had a sharp pair to use I wouldn’t have ended up looking like something the cat had dragged in. The thing is – I will have to look at this picture for the next 10 years each time I set foot outside the UK and it won’t be a huge shock to me if they don’t let me back in…
