TRADITIONAL BUILDING SKILLS

Article

The repair and maintenance of pre-1919 buildings requires specialist skills and knowledge and the Heritage Skills NVQ 3 allows mainstream practitioners to up-skill and develop expertise in traditional building skills. Holding a CSCS Heritage Skills card also shows competency to work in this important sector of the construction industry, but the Managed Industry Accreditation route for this card ends on 30th September 2010.

The October issue of Master Builder will provide more information on heritage skills training. If you want to know more about training in this sector and details on the CSCS Heritage Skills card now, then please contact: Claire Wallbridge, Heritage Training Adviser, ConstructionSkills call: 07917 598 254 or email claire.wallbridge@cskills.org
