FMB’s new social network for members – FMBuilding Network, gives you the platform to engage with the FMB and fellow members like never before.

 

BLOGS

Have you ever wanted to write an article on a subject you are passionate about? Write a blog for FMBuilding Network and see what kind of response you get from fellow members. Each time you get a response an email notification will be sent to your mailbox so you won’t miss anything!

 

You can also read other members’ blogs and let them know how you feel about the issues they raise. Just click on ‘reply’ to leave your comment for the blogger. Your contribution will appear on the page for other FMBuilding Network members to read and reply to.

  

FORUMS

Participate in forums and tell us about the issues affecting you. There are various forums you can contribute to and voice your opinion. You can share your valuable technical knowledge and post queries if you are looking for advice.

  • Share technical queries forum: This forum is for members to ask each other and the FMB, technical, product and other business questions. You can ask any work related questions, from which product works best on a specific job to what’s the best/quickest/easiest way to do a task. You can even explore further and ask for suggestions on how you can better promote your company and how to manage apprentices.
  • Cut the VAT campaign forum: The Cut the VAT Coalition believes that reducing VAT from 20 percent to five percent for all maintenance and home improvement work would benefit millions of UK homeowners by getting rid of cowboy builders, helping those who cannot afford vital repairs to their homes, bringing empty properties back into use and protecting the countryside. Tell us how you feel about this issue and let us know how this change in VAT rate could benefit your business.
