The 10th Master Builder of the Year is FMB member, David Charleton of FJ Charleton Building Contracts Ltd. His company created the dream cliff -top home on the East coast of Northern Ireland, which you see on this month’s front cover and in the pictures above.
Never before has the winner of the New Build Category taken the top prize, but the energy, tireless dedication and attention to detail lavished by David and his team on this unique and impressive property made for a unanimous decision by the judging panel.
‘Scotts on the Rocks’ sits on a difficult site in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a 60ft drop to the sea on one side and power lines overhead. Despite these obstacles, David Charleton’s team delighted clients David and Freda Scott by creating a stunning contemporary home, finished to the highest standards, on time, under budget and without any fuss.
