In the September 2011 issue of Master Builder we reported that the FMB had set up a dedicated training company with the aim of providing a range of training specially designed to meet the needs of FMB member firms.
FMB Training is now offering members in London, Leeds, Cambridge and Edinburgh the chance to be first to benefit from a ground-breaking new training course, designed to help members make sure they stand the best chance of winning the lion’s share of the high value work in their area.
Giving great customer service, as well as carrying out quality building work, is what distinguishes the most successful of firms, and there are techniques you can use to give your firm a competitive advantage.
FMB has utilised the challenges that we know members can encounter when dealing with clients, combined with best practice and the latest thinking on customer service, to produce a unique two-day course. This also includes one-to-one coaching from our expert trainers, which will give you an opportunity to get advice on customer service issues specific to your business. The workshops will be informal and relaxed, with small groups of FMB members attending each one. You’ll also get a toolkit of checklists and documents to take away with you, and to adapt for use in your own firm. The development of this course has been funded by ConstructionSkills Management and Supervisory Development Fund.
