We can all agree that it is a difficult market out there and whilst there are glimmers of hope in the housing market, they are few and far between. The current economy set Build Assure thinking. Why not make it easier for you and your clients to deal with the often tedious task of purchasing insurances for building projects? There’s been talk about it for some time now, but we are thrilled to finally be able to announce the arrival of Build Assure’s online platform! To give you an idea of the site’s functionality we have provided you with some screen shots on these two pages and information on how you can best use the site. Remember that we have designed our site with you and your clients in mind, and I’m sure you’ll agree that it looks fresh and inviting.
BUILDERS PAGE
We have a page dedicated just to you as builders, which provides information on membership and product offerings. This, we hope, will develop as we run through 2012 and will start to include other insurances which you require for your business such as:
- Employer’s liability
- Public liability
- Fleet
- Van and
- Premises etc
which you can purchase on line. Our unique pairings with a panel of insurers will ensure that the prices quoted are competitive and mean you find the right deal.
ONLINE QUOTES
You are now able to purchase all of our Domestic and Commercial (formerly MasterBond) Value, 2, 6, 10 and NI Insurance, and obtain your competitive premium indication for the newly launched New Homes Insurance online through simple step-by-step wizards. Simply enter a few details and voila, your price is calculated!
Registering your contracts online will be a quick alternative to completing a proposal form and submitting it by post however we will of course still accept applications in this form. You can even direct your clients to the site in order for them to register the development – the site takes into account your membership type and provides you with the same price had you applied by other means.
We will of course still require the contact specifications and plans/structural calculations where applicable and we ask that these are either uploaded where available online at the end of the quote process or sent to us via post/email within 14 days. All certificates will still be sent by post but a sample certificate and policy wording will be forwarded to your e-mail account in the meantime.
You also have the ability to submit online enquiry forms for surety bonds and can still acquire FMB XS or Weather Protect insurance through links to our partners’ sites.
Where possible, we have included advice for consumers such as useful tips when appointing a builder, recent news and customer case studies.
