The National Specialist Contractors’ Council (NSCC) has announced its support for the Builder’s Profile pre-qualification service as the solution to the bureaucracy created by the multitude of paper prequalification questionnaires.

NSCC is committed to working with the Builder’s Profile to provide a green, paperless way for companies to exchange common pre-qualification information. By creating an online profile to send their company information instantly to whoever requests it, Specialist Contractors can save both the time and significant costs currently associated with pre-qualification.

Main contractors and clients also benefit from the Builder’s Profile as it delivers the answers to all common pre-qualification questions in a quick and secure way as and when required.

Suzannah Nichol, Chief Executive of NSCC, says: “After poor payment practices, the most frustrating issue for Specialist Contractors is completing numerous pre-qualification questionnaires which wastes valuable resources that could be used to improve business performance. Over 85 percent of the questions are not job specific and the fact that they are duplicated by each contractor and client means that NSCC members can find themselves filling in over 100 of these forms each year. We have an opportunity to bring together the many pre-qualification questionnaires within the industry with the completion of one core business profile providing the most commonly requested information.”

NSCC will be formally launching the Builder’s Profile to its members with a discounted annual fee early this year and will be working with contractors and clients to ensure their pre-qualification requirements are met through the online system.
