The new flat roof window from FMB partner, VELUX takes flat roof solutions to a whole new level.
has launched its new flat roof window for roof pitches of 0° to 15°. The innovative new design consists of a double glazed glass unit with a polycarbonate cover, which has been designed to bring large amounts of daylight into any flat roof – commercial or domestic.
This launch is a continuation of the successful extensions campaign that VELUX ran earlier this year, which focused on the benefits of increasing daylight in extensions. The new flat roof window provides the ideal solution in bringing in more light and adding value to an extension.
The flat roof window is energy efficient and achieves a low U-value of 1.4W/m²k, with excellent sound insulation from rain and hail. The inside edge of the extruded hard PVC kerb has an inbuilt rebate for plaster board. This makes it easier to create an excellent internal decorative finish.
FIXED OR ELECTRICAL OPERATION
The new VELUX flat roof window comes in six sizes, with either a clear or opaque polycarbonate cover. Prices for the fixed version start at £380 and from £620 (ex VAT) for the INTEGRA® electric versions.
The fixed version is ideal when background ventilation is not required. If fresh air is desired then the INTEGRA® electric models have a hidden motor and a rain sensor which automatically closes the window if it starts to rain. The remote control is also intelligent and works from anywhere in the house – even through walls.
Specific VELUX pleated blinds are available to diffuse the light. All flat roof windows come with the VELUX ten year guarantee.
