State of Trade Survey - 2008

Construction industry conditions are showing no signs of improving. Results from the FMB’s latest survey were particularly gloomy. Credit markets remain in disarray, impacting both on supply and demand, and there has been a marked deterioration in housing market conditions. FMB members working in both residential and nonresidential markets were equally pessimistic, to give the weakest quarterly survey results of the decade so far.
