The Work At Height Regulations 2005 (Amended 2007) place duties on emplyers, the self employed and those who control the work of others eg facilities managers. These duties realted to planning of work, training, equipment, and risk assessment. The regulations have a hierarchy of actions that have to be taken: Avoid, Prevent, Minimise. Avoid working at height if possible, if not take all reasonable steps to prevent a fall, if a fall cannot definitly be prevented, minimise the impact of any fall. Follow the links to find out how.
