Our company was formed in August 1973 by Alastair Calder and is based in Edinburgh UK. With both a trade and management background Alastair started building home extensions and doing house improvements in and around Edinburgh and expanded the business in this field to its present form.

Alastair's son Iain joined the company in 1985 and took over the running of the house improvements business in 1998 after Alastair's retirement.

Since then the business has remained one of the leaders in the home extension market in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas and is renowned for providing a professional service throughout each project.

One of the aims of our company is to have the same team on every project from the directly employed builders and joiners to the same sub-contractors for all other trades.

This keeps a good and efficient working relationship between the different trades and cuts out the delays often associated with the building of home extensions.
