Member Profile

Ardesia Design was founded by Alessandro Costa and Laurence Rouveure joining forces to give birth to a design and refurbishment company based in London. The team working with Ardesia Design is composed by experienced builders, project managers, and surveyors and it has completed a number of projects in UK, Italy, and Switzerland.

Ardesia Design offers a full range of services from project management to budget control, from structural refurbishment to interior design. Laurence and Alessandro's approach to refurbishment is focused on the use of stylish yet durable materials. Case Study 1

Portobello Flat

Structural refurbishment and interior design of a three floors maisonette off Portobello Road. The space was designed to fit the needs of a growing family working from home. The couple shares an office tailor made for their needs of storage and desk space. The design of the living area respects the original features of the Victorian house while creating a stylish space to comfortably eat around a functional kitchen-island or sit on a large sofa and admire the fireplace. The last touch of warmth is offered by a carefully laid water under-floor heating to maximize the comfort.

Case Study 2

Notting Hill Flat

Conceptually designed to maximise the space and at the same time highlight the original Victorian features of the house. Custom made joinery helps in increasing the storage available without taking too much visual space while a selected range of colours makes the windows and coving stand out. Carefully designed lighting, including LEDs, creates a cosy and yet sleek atmosphere. Ardesia Design’s team carried on a complete structural refurbishment and interior design of this a large one bedroom flat in Notting Hill.
