Case Study 1

Single storey extension at Falmer Brighton. Single storey extension providing exclusive self contained student accommodation to a private house at Falmer near to the university. As the extension was next to the A27 dual carriage way normal windows would have been pointless so to add light and the feeling of space the project included vaulted ceilings with four Velux rooflights and a bulls eye window. To keep the noise of the road to a minimum I installed a heat exchange air conditioning unit which provides highly energy efficient heating and cooling. The window-less shower room included a sunpipe to add natural daylight.I went on to lay extensive paving to the front and rear of the house with a low maintenance garden area adjoining the road.
