Watermill Restaurant and Lodge, Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh
Kilmore quay restaurant and lodges involved a large refurbishment to the existing building along with a large extension to form the new restaurant area and toilet provision, and new build lodges to the rear of the site. A large majority of the existing building was retained and repaired as were the client’s requirements.
The existing thatched roof to the building was in an extremely dilapidated state and therefore was replaced with a new thatched roof with intricate detailing to ridge level. All existing stone work on site was reused to form new walls within the building an entrance lobby and also for landscaping walls to the site.
Other works to this building included the inclusion of a three meter tall fish tank to be built into the building as an external display to the side elevation. External works included, concrete kerbing, railway sleeper kerbing, brick paving, tar-mac surfaces, stone walls, small pedestrian bridges.
DJ Contracts are honoured to have achieved the Federation of master builders "builder of the year 2010" for constructing the Watermill restaurant for the commercial category.
