Who are we?

We are a family run firm 1st set up in the 1950's by George Lazenby working on his own with a pair of ladders and a hand-cart. George's sons Alan and Peter joined him after the great Sheffield storms in the early 1960s. Peter then moved away and Alan and wife Sheena ran the Company until his recent retirement. Now Alan's son Mark heads the Company along with daughter Lesley, keeping the business in safe family hands.

Over the years G A Lazenby & Sons Ltd has become established as a reputable local company providing high quality work at a fair price.

Many of our customers have used our services again and again over the years and much of our work comes from personal recommendation.

What do we do?

Just about anything, well almost!

All work relating to property maintenance and repair such as:

  • roof and leadwork
  • gutters
  • brickwork
  • stonework
  • joinery
  • glazing
  • plumbing & gas work
  • central heating
  • plastering etc.

Refurbishment and alteration work such as new kitchens and bathrooms, central heating and boilers (GAS SAFE registered) taking down walls, putting up walls, replacement windows and doors (CERTASS registered) fencing, fireplaces, insulation, damp proofing etc. etc.

Alongside our domestic customers we also work for several Landlords and Letting Agencies and do regular maintenance work at some larger offices and commercial sites in the City.
