Energy Efficient Whole House Ventilation for New Build Housing Project

Kiltox technical team were contacted by the project architects and were asked to supply the specification for energy efficient ventilation for a new build housing project consisting of 16 dwellings.

The challenge was to install whole house heat recovery ventilation systems with extraction from bathrooms and kitchens and supply to all living areas using the minimum of ducting and ancillaries yet still ensuring installation was aesthetically pleasing with maximum energy efficiency.

The project began during the darkest days of winter and before the houses were completed, which Kiltox project managed to the complete satisfaction of the architects in so much as we have been asked to carry out similar works for other projects for them.

A Warmer Welcome Awaits At The Village Hall

The village hall in Upwood hosted an event to celebrate its transformation into an energy efficient building.

Double glazing was installed whilst Kiltox supplied and installed the heat recovery ventilation system, making the hall a warmer and more energy efficient building.

The project was carried out with the help of a grant from the national fuel charity, National Energy Action (NEA).

Sylvia Brown, chief executive of rural action group Acre, which also supported the project said "it is widely acknowledged that any measure, no matter how small, is a valuable contribution towards ensuring a better world for all".
