Case Study 1

TYPICAL BUILD OVER EXISTING GARAGE TO FORM FIRST FLOOR EXTENSION

The property had an existing garage and kitchen which the client wished to retain but needed an extra bedroom, a larger bathroom and a walk in store room. It was decided to  build another floor above the garage & kitchen which meant introducing steel beams and a new wall inside the garage to support the new extension above. By removing part of the existing house gable the client's existing bathroom was doubled in size.

Case Study 2

TYPICAL TWO STOREY EXTENSION

The client's requirements was for a two storey extension with a garage at the front and an enlarged kitchen/dinning room to the rear. The first floor was to incorporate a bedroom to the front and an en-suite at the rear. The problem was the available land had a boundry line set at an angle. This was overcome by stepping the building backalong it's length which gave the extension a pleasing look which satisfied the client and also the local planning department.
