Refurbishment, London N13
Our client was looking to open up the rear of their Edwardian property and create a more open, modern living space. By removing the load-bearing wall between the dining room and kitchen, light could now access the previously dark area. The kitchen ceiling was replaced and seven directional spotlights inserted as part of the full kitchen rewire.
The old wooden kitchen was removed and replaced with a larger, more modern Howden's kitchen. The clean lines, curved corner units and light cream finish was complimented by a solid oak block worktop. A composite granite sink adds a unique feature and integrated appliances (including wine cooler) ensure it remains usable.
The combi-boiler was moved outside to reclaim two more cupboard spaces. A brick housing was then constructed around the boiler and painted to blend seamlessly with the rest of the building.
The dated fireplace was removed, re-plastered and used to store a new radiator. The floors were then sanded and stained before tiling and decorating.
The result is a light, open living space, perfect for family activities and entertaining friends.
