Open Plan Living

Our client who lives in Chiswick came to us for a design and build package with a brief of opening up their kitchen to an open plan entertaining space.

Our architects Nick and Dan who we work closely with came up with the plan to remove the wall between the kitchen and the garage and the removal of a load bearing pillar in the middle of the kitchen.

Once our structural engineer Tom had made the necessary calculations and the solution of fitting a steel box frame with a main supporting steel in place of the load bearing pillar, work began on the foundations.

The first photo shows the box frame in place and the supporting steel being fitted.

We then fitted a new sloping roof concealed below a low parapet wall with two large skylights.

The new concrete floor was poured with a wet under floor heating system connected to the current megaflow heating system.

A custom kitchen with granite worktops were fitted along with new lighting, power points and a Sonos sound system.

The second photo shows the finished project.

More Space

Our client in Fulham needed to re arrange her flat in Fulham to create more space and light whilst maintaining a homely feel.

To provide the extra space we added a loft conversion with an en suite shower room and built in cupboards.

On the first floor the stud walls were removed and the kitchen was moved to the front of the flat to form an open plan kitchen and sitting room.

We fitted a glass landing in the new staircase to the loft to provide natural light to the core of the flat.

The flat was finished throughout with a contemporary light grey paint from Farrow and ball.
