Case Study 1

Domestic Renovation: 4 Bedroom House

Project Aim: Summer 2010 - Crawley

 

 

The redevelopment of a 4 bedroom, semi detached property located in a popular part of Crawley. The property will be placed on the market following completion and needs to be 'fit for purpose'.

 

Existing Development:

The property remained derelict and unoccupied for approximately 7 years following the death of the Landlord’s mother. The property was dirty, cold, in disrepair and furnished with all utilities ‘cut off’.

With the Landlord currently residing in Canada, all communication was done by email or phone. A series of on-line picture albums had to be created to represent all stages of the redevelopment.

The local community had complained over the years to the Local Authority regarding the condition of the property so particular care and attention had to be made to design and community liaison.

The property was constructed during the 1950’s and still retained all interior and exterior doors, glazing and heating elements.

Commercial Renovation: Hair Salon

Project Aim: Autumn/Winter 2002 - Crawley

 

 

Convert existing Travel Agents in to a fully operational 11 bay hair salon with separate washing facilities, office, unit front and fascias.

Full rewire with suspended ceiling and air conditioning throughout, with new flooring and separate WC facilities.

Installation of all Work stations, staff room and office facilities and furniture.

 

Existing Development:

A Travel Agents located in a busy local parade of shops in Crawley.

The premises were received void of furniture with the existing flooring and shop front remaining in place
