Case Study 1

Construction of a replacement kitchen extension

This project involved the demolition of an existing kitchen extension that was constructed to a poor specifcation that nolonger met the property owners needs.

A replacement extension was constructed that was much bigger and to a higher specifcation.  The project involved the installation of complex steel work in order to allow the corner of the existing house at ground floor level to be removed.  The extension included a glass roof, bi fold doors and full internal fit out to include underfloor heating.

Case Study 2

Construction of kitchen extension to form kitchen diner

This project involved the construction of a ground floor extension to enlarge the existing kitchen and to provide a open plan dining area.

The end elevation incorporated an oak frame with french doors leading out onto the new patio that was laid upon completion of the project.

A steel frame was fabricated and erected on site as part of the specication.  This allowed the end elevation to be constructed from a non load bearing oak frame that was fully glazed.  The steel frame was also a requirement so that the internal ceiling could be vaulted rather than a traditional flat ceiling.
