Have you imagined what it would be like to live in your perfect home, designed specifically to meet your taste and budget, but need help to plan your project? The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) will be available to answer all your questions at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 22 to 25 March 2007. The show is designed to help visitors explore the factors involved in building their own home, as well as converting or extending an existing property.
The FMB will be hosting a stand at the show (no. 1851), which will feature a variety of useful information including a database of 13,000 FMB approved builders. Visitors can search the www.findabuilder.co.uk database to find a tradesperson in their area simply by entering their postcode. Only builders and specialists who can prove their skills and good business standing are accepted as members of the FMB.
Robin Hood-Leeder director of membership services at the FMB said: "Whether you have just started planning your project or it is well underway, this is a great opportunity to obtain expert advice and meet with us face-to-face. As the largest construction trade association in the UK, we can help you to get in touch with approved tradespeople and contractors in your area."
Visitors will be able to take home a free sample of Make Mine a Builders, a new tea brewed specially for the building trade. The tea will not only tickle your taste-buds, but a percentage of the profits from Make Mine a Builders will go to a new Builders Foundation set up by the FMB. This foundation will support a range of laudable initiatives in the building trade from training new apprentices, to assisting existing operatives to develop their skills and supporting deserving building projects around the world.
