Laura Hayes has been appointed London Region Director of The Federation of Master Builders. She joins from The Institute of Management Consultancy, where she was head of communications.
Laura has spent 15 years working for membership organisations, including several in the medical field. Having set up and run four retail businesses, she has experience of running a small business, including strategy, finance and marketing. Laura also has family connections with the building industry: her grandfather was a member of the Federation of Master Builders for more than 20 years.
Laura commented:
" I am pleased to be joining the Federation at an important stage in its development. I aim to persuade reputable builders across London to join us and add their voice to a thriving UK wide organisation. Customers need the Federation to ensure that the building work they commission is of the highest standard. The logo of the Federation is the symbol of quality. Our members have to provide detailed references from their clients to ensure that this is the case, and we take the time to go and see every prospective new member."
She graduated from Sheffield University and holds professional qualifications in both marketing and communications. Married with a two-year-old son Harry, Laura lives in Highams Park, Chingford.
