Employment
Overall the percentage level of member firms reporting redundancies compared to the same period, April to June 1996, has marginally fallen. The greatest level of redundancies was reported in the North West region although this has fallen in comparison with the level recorded in the second quarter of 1996. All regions, with the exception of Eastern and South Wales, have shown fewer redundancies this quarter compared to the corresponding quarter of 1996, (Table 10).
