A marginal rise was reported in the overall percentage level of member firms reporting redundancies compared to the same period, July to September 1996,. The greatest level of redundancies was reported in the South West region which has risen slightly in comparison with the level recorded in the third quarter of 1996. Northern, London and South Wales member firms reported no redundancies, (Table 10)
