Using CSCS for Competitive Advantage
In the current tough market, FMB members are increasingly looking for ways in which they can stand out from their competitors. Gaining a CSCS Certificate of Commitment is a simple way to show that your company has a CSCS carded workforce that has health and safety awareness and that your workers are appropriately trained. And it could make the difference between you or someone else securing contracts.
CSCS Certificates of Commitment are awarded to companies that have a high proportion of onsite workers with CSCS cards. There are two types of certificate, which reflect the company’s level of commitment:
Gold Certificates are for companies with 75 – 89% of onsite workers carded and Platinum Certificates are awarded to those with 90%+ of onsite workers carded.
The certificates cost £50.00 each and are valid for three years, renewable upon re-audit. If you would like to apply for a Certificate of Commitment you will need to submit a list of your current cardholders for checking on the CSCS and Affiliated Scheme databases. You can download an application form here
If your application is successful you will be sent a certificate and will be entitled to use the Committed to CSCS logo on your literature, website, vehicles etc.
