Project Design
From an initial idea of your project to getting some plans drawn up with a local Architect, we can progress to finalising the design for planning application.
Once these have been passed by the local authorities, we can then issue Building Regulation drawings ready for a start date to suit yourselves.
Groundworks expertise
We specialise in all aspects of Groundworks: Strip Foundations, Piling, Raft and are expertise in Formwork shuttering and Reinforced Concrete finishing.
We also specialise in drainage systems, from rainwater harvesting, soakaway systems, house drainage,
both Foul and Storm. To Klaregester, Bio and separation tanks.
Project Management
We can manage the whole project from start to finish, taking all the pressure off yourselves so that you can relax and be assured that your project will be delivered on schedule and to the satisfactory standards to comply with local authority building control.
During the build process, regular meetings will be held between us, you and perhaps the architect.
Sometimes you may wish to make an alteration later in the build process, this can be addressed and then action taken without causing too much disruption.
ABOUT
After having started work as a Technician in the motor trade, I decided to venture into the construction industry, working with large civil engineering construction firms who specialised in road and bridge construction as well as major industrial units around the south of England. This is where I learnt the skills of large scale concrete works and reinforcement along with steel fabrication.
Then things led on to machinery operation using large construction equipment, gaining many certificates to drive all kinds of machinery. I soon realised that purchasing my own equipment could be a viable proposition, thus SR Willmore Plant Hire was born in 1995. This business expanded to taking on many private contracts in the local area, specialising again in Ground works etc.
I was then offered a contract with Dorset County Council, which was secured with my knowledge of Civil engineering works which benefited the type of contract to undertake.
This led to a continual contract for about 22 years until finally handing in my contract to concentrate on my own career in groundwork's under the new name of SRW Constuctions. Which was then expanding into much larger projects such as some bespoke house building projects for private clients.
These have been exclusively designed bespoke projects by local architects which we have been fortunate enough to secure purely upon recommendations from previous clients that we have worked for in the past. They range from traditional stone built, to timber frame and Barn conversions.
It has always been a policy of the company to offer the best service possible to the client with competitive prices. By using only experienced staff and local contractors who have been working together over a long period of time are we able to offer a high level of finish to the end product.

In 2018 Stewart and his team took on the task of demolishing an existing bungalow we owned and building us our dream home. They worked tirelessly and professionally at all times, working closely with our Project Manager, Architect as well as sub-contractors and of course, Building Control, to bring to life the drawings that we had commissioned. As with any new build, we had to think on our feet and make subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle!) alterations along the way and Stewart was brilliant at suggesting changes and then making them happen. The resulting house is fantastic and has lived up to all our expectations and more. He will be the first person we will turn to when looking at another project.
