Sarah has more than ten years’ experience of working in public affairs, policy and media relations. Sarah has spent the majority of this time with two of the largest and most influential trade associations in the UK construction industry – she started her career at the Construction Products Association and is now Director of External Affairs at the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). At the FMB, Sarah has overall responsibility for the organisation’s UK-wide external affairs activities, which includes public affairs, policy, media relations and events. In terms of policy areas, she leads the organisation's work on skills, apprenticeships and procurement issues. Sarah graduated with a 2:1 BA Hons in Politics from the University of Leeds in 2005. Sarah is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and served on the CIPR Public Affairs Committee from 2013 to 2016. She currently serves on the Communications Committee for The Albert Kennedy Trust LBGT homeless charity.
