Orangery design has come on leaps and bounds since it was first originated when it would be predominantly made up of UPVC or aluminium frames and glass. Nowadays, you will find that most modern orangeries utilise a greater mixture of brickwork and glass so that when incorporated in the home it looks complementary to everything else and fits in naturally. Adjusting to the orangery-style of living is easy and a form of lifestyle that you will soon become accustomed to experiencing regularly. To view more examples of our orangeries, please click here.
Stunning yet sympathetic to the existing property...An internal lighting pelmet transforms a classic into a modern conservatory and offers what many feel is a cosier environment, especially in the evenings. Mounted spotlights make a modern conservatory the perfect room to relax and watch the sun rise, and set. Externally, a cornice can also be introduced to add to the elegance. The contemporary feel of modern conservatories can be heightened by coloured frames. Likewise French doors or bi-folding doors are a common element of a modern conservatory and this style of door can be used both internally, to adjoin the conservatory with another room, and externally to connect the indoors with the outdoors. You need an orangery to be fully energy efficient throughout the year otherwise what’s the point of owning one? The roof attached to the design has an enormous part to play so far as supplying the structure with exceptional thermal insulation is concerned and a solid roof is a product that will provide this in abundance. We openly admit that some natural sunlight will disappear from an orangery as a consequence of a solid roof installation, but this can be compensated for by including roof windows in the design. Accessorise it further by having downlighters and speakers integrated. To view more examples of our orangeries, please click here.
The Livin Room Orangery is multi-purpose so whether you need extra living, dining or office space, it can be specially adapted to provide you with a custom-built solution. The Livin Room Orangery can be designed in a range of shapes from Victorian, Georgian, Lean-to and Gables. To ensure that it is in keeping with the rest of your home it also includes a classically designed and elegantly shaped roof, combined with a beautifully crafted internal framework featuring down lighters and speakers in the roof. Cornice guttering can also be featured for those keen to ensure that the Livin Room Orangery serves to enhance your home’s overall aesthetic appeal. From start to finish this is an amazing transformation. After sorting planning permission, building reg’s and a build over agreement we moved hundreds of tons of soil before digging footings, laying floor, commissioning heating, fitting doors, windows and two lanterns. We then first fixed electrics, plastered and then commissioned electrics. We laid the underfloor heating and then once dry we tilled the floor. A full clean down was carried out before handing over to the home owner.
