Kitchen re model consisting of removing the rear wall of the house to open up the between an existing day room extension and the kitchen to create one large space. All aspects of the project were managed by ourselves to take as much stress as possible away from the customer and provide a seamless transition between the different aspects of the job

A J joinery & Building Ltd were the North West winners of the Master Builder Awards 2019 in the Kitchen category.

Project Objective
The objective of the project was to transform the existing kitchen and dining room into one large family area with the addition of a single story extension. This would increase the floor area of the newly combined kitchen and dining room and a additional playroom in the new extension. The home was in Sandbach, Cheshire. The project was a rear extension with renovation of the kitchen.

Judges’ comments
Builder has further enhanced the architects original plans by working with the client. Some difficult and complex building structural alterations and challenges. Stretching and challenging themselves to move further as company with high standard of workmanship. The design encompassing the extraction fan, the lantern light to bring more light into the kitchen and bi folding doors, which brings the outside in and shows a lot of consideration has gone into the aesthetics of the overall design. Ambitious but modest - a real worthy winner.

We used AJ joinery for our kitchen/family room re model. From start to finish Jonathan and his team were professional and helpful. They coordinated the removal of 2 walls, plumbing, electrics through to the fitting of the kitchen, flooring and appliances. Nothing was too much trouble and even when we changed our mind on a couple of things 1/2 way through this wasn’t an issue. Jon used his expertise in advising on solutions to ensure we had the best possible outcome. All of the team were friendly, helpful and cleaned up at the end of each day.
