Review of major work undertaken by AE Building Services 2015. Walmer, Kent Adrian and his team have recently completed a major renovation of our house in Walmer to our overwhelming satisfaction. From the beginning it was clear that Adrian would be easy to work with. When he was looking round the site in order to price the job, he was already making suggestions how things might be done. His quotation was acceptable, and work started on time. His own building team were excellent and were well supplemented by other trades who had worked with Adrian before. What we liked was that the AE team were thoroughly involved, very cheerful and came up with some good ideas as the work developed. It was immediately obvious that they were all skilled and had a very positive work ethic. Adrian kept the schedule on track and gave us regular accounts. With a total overhaul as this was there were bound to be unforeseen snags. The major one was that the roof we thought was sound turned out to be in need of complete replacement. Adrian was able to find a good roofer who worked with Adrian’s team to do a very thorough job. We were living elsewhere whilst all this was going on but had complete confidence with the work and were able to discuss details easily with Adrian. After the house was completed, we asked AE to provide a quotation for the hard landscaping of the garden, and this, too, was done with style and skill. We feel that we now have a delightful house and garden at a reasonable cost and would have no hesitation in recommending AE Building Services to anyone. Adrian, as a Master Builder worked inventively and with good humour. He remains a good friend.

This is the third time we have used AE Building Services and as always, Adrian was prompt, tidy and efficient. His work was again, of a high standard and we are very pleased with the outcome. Sarah is also very efficient with dates, quotes etc and excellent at answering any queries. We have no hesitation in recommending Adrian and his workforce and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Earlier this year, Adrian and his small team carried out a complete renovation for us on a 1980s house which was still in its almost original state. This included fitting a new, enlarged, kitchen, bathrooms, plumbing, some rewiring and plastering and total redecoration. They then helped us redesign the garden, laying a new patio and gravelled area. They worked efficiently and very cheerfully, bringing in other trades as and when needed, and were able to suggest solutions to problems encountered. We lived in the house throughout the renovation and they were most helpful in planning the work round us, so that we always had some habitable rooms. We’re very happy with result, which has been much admired by all who saw the ‘before’ state

Sarah and the family. Just thought I would write to let you know that we have decided to sell York Road. It has been on the market with Mann Countrywide and we now have an offer on it that we have accepted. Many thanks for all of the work you have carried out at the house over the last few years and for your prompt action on those occasions when we have had to call you out urgently due to problems that the tenants have reported. We really appreciate the help you have given us and all the excellent work you have done (which I am sure has helped us to sell so quickly). We are thinking now about buying a property in Canterbury to renovate. I hope that if we are able to find the right property that you might be happy to come along and have a look with a view to helping us with any building works that might need to be done. It is unlikely that we will rent out again, we will probably sell it on quickly. If we find something, would you be happy to come and have a look with a view to quoting on works that need to be done? Dear Sarah and Adrian, we just wanted to thank you both very much for our new log burner and surround. We are extremely pleased with the false chimney breast that was built exactly to our specifications and looks. The brickwork and plastering was faultless and Adrian and his colleagues were very clean and tidy. The work took only 3 days which was amazing. We will definitely recommend you to anyone that requires a new log burner or fireplace and any other building work.

Earlier this year AE Building Services did some repair work for us on a commercial property in Canterbury. Our property has had a new floor, damp-proofing, replacement wall panelling and doors, plus the installation of a new electrical connection. Adrian is a skilled and professional builder, with a creative, problem-solving approach to his work. No task was too difficult and he was able to bring together the right craftsmen for every aspect of the project.
