B W May & Son Ltd

B.W.May & Son was founded in 1960 by Bert May and his son Len May. They were later joined by Bill Chapell, (Carpentry & Joinery) & Terry Upton (Brickwork) to form B. W. May & Son Limited in 1971.
 
 
The idea of joining together was that they could draw on each other’s pool of skilled operatives to deliver a more effective business within the housing sector.
 
 
Following the first consortium in 1971, there were several shareholder changes, but most significant was the buy in from the current Managing Director, Andrew Spice in 1988, who was the nephew of the original owner Bill Chapell.
 
 
B.W. May has become one of the most recognised regional contractors in Swale and are based in Bobbing near Sittingbourne. The company site is ideally suited to cover a large operating area.
 
 
With the success and continued growth achieved over the past decade, B. W. May existing customer relationships have developed and resulted in larger and prestige projects being delivered.
