A recent project for three separate neighbouring customers based in Exeter. All three roofs were stripped of the old existing materials including slates, felt and battens and the old parapet wall brickworks which were leaking into the loft space areas. The old bricks were replaced with a new 9 inch damp course on top of the existing wall then new slabs bedded down on a mortar bed to stop any water penetration.
The first roof to the left is in natural slates, with the other two roofs in man made fibre cement slates and all fitted with dry ridge ventilation systems for maximum airflow into the roof space areas. We also added new guttering in places and new downpipes where needed.
All three customers are extremely happy with the work and we have secured other work from this. Also, as members of the Consumer Protection Association, we were able to offer the customers (free of charge) 10 year warranties with each roof.
