Erwood & Morris Ltd

Erwood & Morris Ltd. is a firmly established building and groundworks contractor who complete all forms of domestic and commercial work in Bath and the surrounding area. Established in 1870, and now in its 15th decade, Erwood is a family company with both the older and newer generations of the Clarkson and Craddock families involved in the day to day running and management of the company and its projects. We are currently based in offices on Combe Down in Bath, and serve both domestic and commercial clients. The vast experience of our directors and senior management means that we can complete projects to above and beyond the client's expectations, providing quality of service to repeat, existing and potential clients.

We always strive to work in harmony as a team with the client and architect or surveyor. We aim to deliver the project for the client in the most cost effective manner, and will make suggestions for alternatives where experience allows. It is always our hope that at the end of a project, the client will ask us to return in the future for any further projects, and that they are happy to recommend Erwood & Morris Ltd. to their friends and acquaintances.
Our team contains over 20 directly employed operatives of various trades, allowing us to complete large portions of contracts ‘in house' without the need to rely on sub-contractors, although we do of course sometimes use and trusted sub-contractors to complete certain elements of works where time, cost and technical requirements are the defining factors.
The services that we offer include: refurbishment, building maintenance, alterations, extensions and new builds, groundwork, drives and landscaping, plumbing and heating, joinery and roofing.

We have taken the deliberate decision over the years to remain a manageable size, so that we are in control of what is happening at each site on a daily basis. We prefer to be able to communicate with both the clients and our operatives directly, rather than allowing these discussions to pass down the chain of command. In this respect, as a client, you know that there will always be someone with whom you can communicate at a senior level.
