On this occasion we removed an existing shed, knocked through the side of the main property wall and installed the steels required. This created a dining area space our clients didn’t know they could achieve, as you can see form the before phorograph. We are able to advise on what is possible at your property and have the expertise to design and build a new extension that will really maximise the potential of your home. If you are considering an extension, contact Foster Construction Ltd today for a no-obligation quotation. If you would like the service from start to finish we also have our own In-house archictect.
On this occasion we were emailed some drawings from a potential client and asked if we were interested in supplying a quotation. Whilst we prefer to manage the entire project from design to completion, we are also always happy to work to any existing plans that a client may have so the next steps were to arrange a site meeting to survey the property and meet our clients to discuss what they are looking to achieve in person. It is important in these situations to make sure we fully understand what the client is expecting and to really get a full picture of the original vision.Part of the project would be to demolish the original extension before replacing it with a much more usable space, creating a contemporary kitchen area and in turn freeing up internal space within the property that the current kitchen was occupying.
Foster Construction was contacted by a family in Steeple Claydon who wanted to achieve more light and remove an existing vaulted ceiling along with some dated velux windows. The initial enquiry came in via email so the first job was to arrange a site visit to discuss the project further. After our initial meeting we discussed a variety of options available to the client and once we had agreed the final scope of the project we organised structural drawings and provided detailed designs to the client for sign off.Work then commenced at an agreed schedule with the client kept informed of all developments as the project progressed. The end results were transformational for the client who was very impressed with the high end finish and our attention to detail. If you would like to discuss a potential orangery extension to your home. Contact Foster Construction today to discuss your options and receive a no-obligation quote. As you can see from the finished result this is now one focal point of the property and floods with natural light.

Foster Construction are also very well known for our expertise in specialist roofing projects. We were asked to carry out a roof renewal on this Grade 2 period property which was starting to suffer from water ingress during inclement weather. These works consisted of an initial design process and getting Listed Building Consent granted for which we undertook and succeeded for our client.During the process of the roofing works we were to salvage a vast amount of all of the existing roof materials and reuse these, as we did not want to jeopardise the character of this property. The existing tiles were carefully removed and cleaned before the installation of a breathable felt membrane and all new battens as required. The second process was to reinstate all existing clay peg tiles back in place using new aluminium peg nails.Lastly we installed ridge tiles on a lime mortar bed as required.Any new materials that were used were all reclaimed to keep the character within the property.
