Client: Antler HomesThis project consisted of 12 one and two bedroom apartments built on the old canning factory in St Clement. Sitting on piled foundations, the building incorporates many styles of construction including traditional granite external walls, blockwork/render with glass reinforced cornice and copings, polished granite rain screen cladding, glass curtain walling and a curved aluminium entrance canopy.The apartments were all sold from the plan, so we worked closely with our client and the purchasers to coordinate their individual requirements, delivering this prestigious project on time and to the highest standard.
Client: Ports of JerseyThe construction of the Airport Cargo Centre consisted of a steel frame clad building for the relocation of the engineering department, with workshops on the ground floor and offices on the 1st floor.This project included 6 Industrial Units and new security fencing. Checkpoint areas were also built to service the cargo handling business.
This three-storey, 5 bedroom private house was constructed using single skin blockwork, with an insulated pre-finished render on the outside, and combines modern construction materials (glass etc.) with more traditional materials like granite.The main living area is on the middle floor, to take advantage of the coastal views out over The Royal Jersey golf course. There is a large patio area off both the kitchen and living rooms. The upper and lower levels combine the bedrooms and bathrooms. The lower level is a semi-basement with a large retaining wall to the rear.
Client: PB Properties LimitedConstructed on the site of an old greenhouse, Hacquoil & Cook built these two traditional, luxury properties. The exceptional dwellings include two-storey conservatories, internal hardwood joinery, a swimming pool and a spa. Also constructed within the site boundary is a new electrical substation, built for the JEC in a traditional Jersey theme. With underfloor heating throughout, these homes are fitted out to the highest standard.
Client: PB PropertiesHacquoil & Cook constructed four high-end, luxury houses, built using a traditional method of block work and concrete slab. The homes also incorporate high-tech smart systems. The properties are located on the old Drive-in Barbeque site in Gorey.
Client: Boathouse GroupThe Boat House project consisted of the refurbishment of the 1st floor restaurant after fire damage. We had to remove and reinstate the Glulam beams, including a new standing seam roof and roof light. All new kitchen equipment, including new ducting works as well as all new Mechanical and Electrical were also installed.
Our public sector work for the Samares Ward of Overdale Hospital included alterations, refurbishment and fit-out. The construction work had to take place whilst the hospital was still open, providing difficult conditions, but we overcame this challenge and caused miminal disruption. The project also included the construction of a new ambulance access road to the front of the building.
Hacquoil & Cook constructed this large scale, complex industrial unit on the location of an old dairy farm. The unit is used for the cleaning, preparation and packing of locally grown root vegetables, predominantly Jersey Royals, and from here they are distributed directly to leading retailers all over Europe.This was a complicated build process, involving many new and environmentally friendly technologies. The project involved specialist subcontract elements which were coordinated seamlessly to produce an extremely high standard of finish, to the satisfaction our clients exacting needs.
