After stripping out and removing the rear walls, we built a new chimney stack to house a wood burner. The ceiling within the converted garage area was raised, vaulted and fitted with electric opening roof windows. The reclaimed brick extension was fitted with aluminium French doors and fixed full height windows. We installed a rolled lead roof, a rubber roof system and a reclaimed slate roof across the property. A bespoke Hampton Shaker-style kitchen was designed to complement the period of the property. Extending upwards above the garage and kitchen created a home with a larger first floor. Before building up we removed the kitchen roof and a section of the garage roof. Steel beams and a column were fitted to support the new storey. The entire side of the upstairs was removed and new steels installed to support the roof structure. Stud walls were erected to separate the new rooms. The new space allowed for four double bedrooms including two master bedrooms wit en suite bathrooms and a large family bathroom. Externally, we completed the extension with a seamless rendering to match the existing house.

Initially, we removed the internal ground floor walls and large steelwork was erected to support the side and rear of the house. A wet underfloor heating system was installed across the entire floor. Three fixed roof windows were fitted and large crittall bi-fold doors were installed leading out to the garden. We designed, manufactured and installed a Shaker-style kitchen. Herringbone flooring, bespoke coving and a period colour scheme completed the interior design.

The vault door weighed 3 tonnes and had to be hauled out by a truck, whilst the bullet proof security glass from the bank's counter took some serious hammering to break up!
The downstairs space was then fitted out as a showroom, whilst the building was extended to the rear and upwards to create an upstairs office.
