We have worked with Joe Vincent and his team for the last few months on three projects at our home in BS7. Throughout this process Joe has been a calm, steady and courteous project manager, navigating two sets of council building regulation sign-offs and all the challenges a non-standard project like ours threw up. Estimates and specification of work have been accurate and detailed. The work was done to schedule and budget. Any additional work that became apparent was agreed and quoted for on a rapid turnaround and reasonable cost basis. Joe was always easily contactable, clear on the next steps and well organised. His management of materials and sub-contractors has been seamless. His team are extremely knowledgeable, diligent, and helpful. Joe and his team of builders were second to none! We didn't necessarily want to go for a standard loft room, we wanted something a little different and we felt like they really took the time to listen and understand our vision whilst trying to work within a budget. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always happy to offer their advice and possible solutions to some of our design ideas. They were very pleasant to have around, always really friendly and polite. We would definitely recommend them, the work has been done to a great standard and we've had lots of compliments. Joe and his team carried out extensive work in our house, including our 2 room loft conversion, kitchen extension and re-doing our bathroom. Joe was recommended to us by two separate people, and he also arranged for us to go and see a loft conversion and kitchen extension that he had completed previously; a testament to Joe's excellent work and amiability that the owner was more than happy to invite us round to see for ourselves. Joe walked us through the process from the start, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible as plans changed and we added in bits and pieces that we didn't originally intend. Any issue that occurred, Joe dealt with in a calm and organised way; nothing phases him. Joe Vincent completed the renovation of our terraced house in Easton with work including a dormer loft conversion and ground floor extension. The house needed a lot more work than we planned but Joe and his team have been extremely thorough, making it feel like a new house. It has been transformed from a very neglected and dated house into a beautiful home. Joe really cared about how we wanted things to look and nothing was too much trouble. He and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The other tradesmen he brought in were also great and having Joe manage the whole process took a lot of stress out of the process. I would highly recommend Joe Vincent. We were looking for a number of tradesmen to collaborate and deliver a ‘knock through’ downstairs to expand our lounge when we were recommended Joe. He offered a very competitive quote but also took the pain away from us and project managed all the work from the structural knock through, organising the council’s sign off, plastering, carpentry and plumbing. Having gone through the rigmarole of managing several separate tradesman in the past, I can safely say that Joe was 2nd to none here. In terms of the manner in which he delivered the project, he also stands out head and shoulders above any other tradesman I have worked with in the past. He is diligent, courteous, thorough, hardworking and (which often helps) and very nice bloke so having him in the house for several weeks wasn’t an issue. He finished the project ahead of time and we loved the result. It was better than we had hoped. He understood our needs and tailored solutions that delivered our vision (such as creating a unique bi-fold door system between the 2 rooms). We have since had Joe back to do the odd jobs as he is our ‘go to man’ and are considering a loft extension with him in the future. Having had a conservatory built over 15 years ago, it was time to either build an extension or renovate what was already there. Joe and his team replaced the old poly carbonate roof with a replacement tiled roof which was insulated and fitted 3 velux roof windows. In addition, the old patio doors were removed and replaced with bifolding doors which has really opened up the lounge and made the conservatory a much more useable and warmer room. The job was completed in a very professional manner and his work ethic is second to none. I would Highly recommend Joe as a great builder and carpenter and would definitely use him again for future home improvements. - Surj S
Great job, really good finish and done within the estimated time scale. Would definitely recommend. Joe pays attention to detail and checks before making decisions in case you want things done in a specific way (which I usually do!). Very clean, he used sheets to cover our carpet and vacuumed if there was a lot of dust after every day of work. Friendly and reliable as well as understanding and flexible. Joe built a loft conversion as a Master Bedroom with ensuite bathroom in Bedminster last Winter. He helped us plan the layout and then completed the job in the time promised to such a high standard. He was always friendly and made far less disturbance to our lives than we expected. The other tradesmen he brought in such as tilers, roofers, sparky and plumber were all experienced and also did a fine job. Bespoke wardrobes the full length of the room along with eaves storage have given us more space than we can fill! He did a superb job with a great finish throughout, it's completely transformed our home. We would definitely recommend Joe and will definitely use him for any future projects we have. - Jamie
