New roof, Shafton

Complete roof replacement for this property in Shafton, Barnsley. The original roof had 10 x 6 clay tiles with an approximate age of 70 years old and in dire need of replacement. The roof tiles were slipping onto the hips and into the gutter. The felt below the roof tiles was deteriorating and not offering a secondary barrier.
We completed the roof replacement on time and to budget. The customer opted for a roll interlocking concrete tile and a sand and cement beaded traditional ridge system.

Modernisation/Extension, Darton

This project was carried out in Autumn 2013. The original property had a narrow garage with a flat roof and small dining room extension to the rear of the garage. The client's brief was to widen the garage to add space and to combine the dining room roof and garage roof into one.
As the gas board were to disconnect the supply, we had a strict 3 week window to carry out the works. By the end of week 1, the existing roof had been removed and the existing side garage wall was removed and partly re-constructed.
Finally, we completed the new garage and a full re-roof of the garage and dining room. The bricks and roof tiles all match with existing, all was completed on time, on budget, and all ready for the gas board to re-connect.

Rear extension, Rothwell

Manterfield undertook this rear extension project in Rothwell, West Yorkshire. The existing external wall was removed to create a large family kitchen area. We then fitted 8.5m length of bi-fold doors and a vaulted roof with Velux windows, keeping the light to the entire room. On a warm day the doors can be opened to the patio area creating a perfect blend of indoor/outdoor experience.
