Mercury Construction Ltd were regional winners of the Commercial Project category at the FMB South West Master Builder Awards 2017.
They picked up the award for a new build project for North Devon Hospice, constructing a secure, homely and relaxing space that coexists with the natural area surrounding it. Extra effort was taken to avoid an institutional feel to the building, with building materials taken from a limited pallet of natural materials. The lime render finish and internal straw walls give the hospice a traditional ‘Devonshire longhouse’ feel, after which it is named. See photos and read more under Case Studies.
