A large extension carried out to create larger living areas with wrap around terrace and balcony to compliment the far fetching views out to sea. The frameless glass balcony design incorporates structural glass that can support the relevant loading without requirement for posts or handrails that may interfere with a view, offering undisturbed views for a seamless viewing experience. To increase the energy efficiency of the house we insulated the external walls of the existing house and finished with a waterproof silicone render and an air source heat pump and underfloor heating was also installed.A purpose made oak staircase was installed.Introducing large openable doors added more daylight into the room and blurs the boundaries between the outdoors and inside the home, creating a more spacious feel. To achieve this, we supplied and installed powder coated windows and doors.
We were involved in the design and build of a highly insulated and air tight contemporary dwelling. This involved the erection of a steel frame which was enclosed in a timber frame wall and faced with a rendered block wall. Energy efficient doors and windows were installed and because of these large areas of glazing, overhangs were designed into the roof to reduce overheating in the summer months but allow solar gain in the winter. The underfloor heating and hot water is supplied by an Air Source Heat pump and solar Thermal panels. To maintain a comfortable internal atmosphere a full house mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery was installed to remove stale air and introduce fresh air to the building.
A highly Insulated Grade 2 listed barn conversion with underfloor heating and whole house heat recovery ventilation system. The barn had to be under pinned and water proofed prior to internal walls being built and insulated. An oak staircase with glass balustrade was made and fitted.Bespoke painted timber windows and doors were fitted.Posi floor joists were used to aid the fitting of services.
