Sympathetic refurbishment of a historical hardware shop into a new bar and restaurant while retaining many original features. The building was once owned by Cooper Kitchen, a well-known ironmonger and producer of various models of bicycle including the Dwarf Moorgate Roadster Penny Farthing - a copy of which was commissioned and is on display behind the bar. We also commssioned a local artist to hand paint a wall mural consisting of a number of local, historical photographs. The bar and tables were also hand made by our in-house team.

We undertook a complete bathroom refurbishment in Lightcliffe. All the old tiles and fittings were stripped out and the room was retiled and new bath, sink and toilet installed to make it a beautiful family bathroom.

We also built a sun room extension at the back of the house to create a larger kitchen diner area and bring more light into the house with a patio area installed outside. Rhodes Joinery undertook work to our attic bedroom which needed to be stripped back to the rafters and insulated, re-plastered and re-wired. It was a dirty job, but the guys were very professional and did everything they could to minimise disruption to the rest of the house. Every party we dealt with was very polite (even when dealing with my control freak panic attacks about the works.) From the initial quote right through to completion of the works communication was great. Best of all we are thrilled with the end product. We used Rhodes Joinery because they were recommended to us and would definitely recommend them ourselves.
